Duke Nukem Delayed

After 12 years of development, Duke Nukem Forever, a much anticipated video game has been delayed. Again.  Many fans were pissed after the developers of the game announced the delay, some throwing fits and screaming at the top of their lungs. (Not me, obviously. That would be silly.) Anyhow, the significance in this delay is either that the developers just wanted to make people even more mad, or that they need more time to make the game better. This has happened many times in the gaming industry, such as when Half Life 2 was promised to be released in 2003 but ended up being released in 2004. Time and time again, the gaming industry has managed to make so many people angry that I'm surprised the gaming industry hasn't already died.
If this were another game, not so many people would be angry. Say that a Rebecca Black talk-along had been delayed. Not many people would even feel sad. However, Duke Nukem, the main character, is the quintessence of American manliness, and has inspired many to follow in his footsteps over the ages. Due to the importance of the main character in a video game, fans all over the world have been let down again by the gaming industry.
